Established in 2009, the North East Educational Trust (NEET) is a registered public charitable trust based in Guwahati, Assam. With 12A, 80G, CSR-1, and FCRA registrations, NEET works to strengthen educational opportunities for children and communities across North East India.

We believe that education should help children think independently, express themselves confidently, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. Our work focuses on creating learning experiences that are joyful, inclusive, and rooted in children’s everyday lives. We work closely with children, educators, schools, and communities, recognising that lasting change is possible only when all four are part of the learning process.

Over the years, our programmes have reached urban settlements in Guwahati as well as rural communities across Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Manipur. Whether through teacher development, community libraries, language learning, or learning centres, we aim to create spaces where every child has the opportunity to learn with curiosity, confidence, and dignity.

At NEET, we are guided by a simple belief: children learn best through the Head, Heart, and Hand, by thinking, feeling, and doing. This philosophy continues to shape our work as we strive towards a society that is more just, equitable, and respectful of the dignity of every individual.
